Berger Dies In Wichita

Robert C. Berger, 77, Rock, died yesterday in Wichita.

His Funeral will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home in Douglass and burial will be in the Douglass Cemetery.

Berger was born April 14, 1906 in Douglass to Charles and Alice McWilliams Berger. He was married April 10, 1950 in Bentonville, Arkansas to Dorothy Rowland. She preceded him in death in 1974.

He was a self-employed carpenter.

Survivors include a daughter, Marta Berger of Wichita; a stepson, Edward M. Davis of Wichita; a brother, Woodrow Berger of Wichita, three sisters, Florence Barnes of Douglass; Jessie Brown of Augusta; and Katherine Alley of Derby; and two grandchildren.

A memorial has been established with the American Cancer Society.
