MRS. CARRIE BELLE HAHN, Smithsburg, Rt. 2, died at 10:15 o'clock last night at her home of cerebral thrombosis, aged 69 years. She had suffered for years from high blood pressure.
Mrs. Hahn was the widow of George C. Hahn who died in 1949 and she was born at Rouzerville, a daughter of Eli and Emma Jane Shettle Ott.
She was a member of the Blue Mountain Church of God and of the church's Ladies Bible Class.
Surviving are nine children: Mrs. Marie Thompson and Mrs. Hilda Beam, Waynesboro; Mrs. Mildred Barkdoll, Mrs. Naomi Shifflett and William Hahn, all of Smithsburg, Rt. 2; Mrs. Ileene Barkdoll, at home; Eugene of Waynesboro; Norvin, Trenton, N.J. and Mrs. Kathleen Minnich, Waynesboro, Rt. 4.
Twenty-one grandchildren and two great-grandchildren survive along with brother, John Ott, Pen Mar, and sisters, Mrs. Newton Sherman, Middletown, Pa.; Mrs. Edward Rahn Hummelstown, Pa.; Mrs. Alice Gorley, Waynesboro, Mrs. Earl Needy, Rouzerville, and Mrs. Elmer Kline, Smithsburg, Rt. 2.
Funeral Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Blue Mountain Church of God with Rev. C. M. McGaha officiating. Burial In the Germantown Bethal Cemetery near Cascade.
Friends may call at the Walter Grove Funeral Home in Waynesboro Friday evening from 7 to 9 and the body may be viewed at the church front 1:30 p.m. Saturday until the hour of the funeral.
