Steven Douglas "Doug" Gramling Eaton Rapids Age 80 died unexpectedly at his residence on Friday, November 9, 2012. Doug was born in Ashley, Indiana on March 13, 1932 to David and Ruth (Carpenter) Gramling. Doug served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He retired in 1977 as an Engineer for the Board of Water and Light in Lansing. A member of the Eaton Rapids United Methodist Church, Eaton Rapids Senior Center, Springport F & AM lodge 284, and a former member of the Eaton Rapids Kiwanis Club. Preceding him in death was a daughter, Linda Cheplick and 2 granddaughters, Casey and Carly Foote. Surviving are 2 daughters, Kimberly (Dean Dodge) Whitcomb of Lansing and Peggy (Nathan) Foote of Eaton Rapids; 8 grandchildren, Heather, Nicholas, Elise, Danielle, Marissa, Juliana, Sam and A.J. Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 14th at 11:00 AM from the Skinner Funeral Home in Eaton Rapids. Burial will follow with full military honors at the Rosehill Cemetery in Eaton Rapids. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8PM.
