Peter Busch, second son of Adolphus Busch, died May 21 in St. Luke's Hospital, St. Louis, following an operation for appendicitis. His brother Augustus A. Busch, and sisters were at his bedside at the time. Mr. and Mrs. Adolphus Busch, with their daughter, Wilhelmina, were aboard a steamer on their way to Germany. When they sailed, the condition of their son was not serious, and attempts to reach the vessel by wireless telegraphy were futile because the steamer had passed beyond reach. News of the death was cabled to Cherbourg, where the parents learned of the death of their son. Peter Busch was born in St. Louis 33 years ago. He received his preparatory education in that city, after which he spent several years at college in the East. His brother, Augustus A. Busch, had for several years been identified with his father in business, when Peter Busch also took up the work.
