Ben B. Groom, 83, formerly of Winchester, Kentucky, and recently of Groom, Texas, died at the St. Charles Hotel at New Orleans, Tuesday night. His only child, H. T. Groom, was with him. The body will be brought here for burial Thursday.

New Orleans, April 18 - Colonel B. B. Groom, a big cattle raiser of Groom, Tex., in the Panhandle, died at the St. Charles hotel at 8 o'clock Tuesday night, where he had been ill for some time. His son, T. T. Groom arrived from Texas a week ago, and was with his father. The remains will be shipped to Kentucky for interment. (Bryan Morning Eagle, Bryan, Tex., April 19, 1906)
