PLEVNA.
After a lingering illness of about three or four weeks Milton Baldwin, only son of Sam'l Baldwin, died last Friday leaving father, mother and two sisters. He was a good christian worker in the church, always attending every service and leading the singing. There was the largest crowd at the funeral that was ever known here, it being about a mile long.

Charles Milton Baldwin
Charles Milton Baldwin was born April 30, 1869 [sic], and died June 29, at his home near Plevna, Missouri. He was the only son of Mr. und Mrs. Samuel Baldwin, both of whom survive him. At the age of 15 years he became a Christian, and had ever since been a loyal, and zealous follower of his Master. Always alert to the advancement of the cause of Christ; the church at Plevna had no member more faithful than he. Having lived all his life in Knox county, his sterling qualities were well known, and on Friday evening June 30th, where the lost sad service was conducted, hundreds of friends came to pay their respect to one they knew so well in life, and to speak words of comfort to the bereaved family. Besides the saddened father and mother he leaves two sisters to mourn his death, Mrs. Hutchinson, of Waco, Texas, and Mrs. George Washburn. Bro. Milton Baldwin "has fought the good fight; he has finished the course; he has kept the faith," and upon his brow the righteous judge has placed that crown — that jeweled crown which be so deservedly won.
