John Christopher's birth year and birth place is in question. Early census and other documents indicate his birth year as 1812 or 1813. However, later census details indicate he was born 1795 and in Scotland which is the birth year/place confirmed by his will which he wrote in Jan 1881. We have been unable to locate an actual birth record indicating the birth date/year and place. John Christopher had a twin brother Robert.
