After son Benjamin was born they moved to Seneca County, Ohio.
When her sons returned home from the Civil War, she moved her family west to Farmer Township, Defiance County, Ohio in 1866. She purchased a 120 acre farm and raised her family there until her death. After her death, the farm was purchased by her son, Henry Taylor. H. Taylor later sold the farm after his children finished school and moved to Hicksville, Defiance County, Ohio.
