Phillip D. "Wilbur" Terrell, Sr., 63, of Spencer, passed away at the IU Hospice House in Bloomington on Thursday, November 29, 2012. He was born in Spencer on November 2, 1949 to James and Mary Elizabeth (Hamm) Terrell. Phillip was a 1968 Spencer High School graduate. He was a member of the Crisp Assembly of God. Until his retirement, Phillip was a maintenance engineer at Tree of Life in Bloomington. He was a car builder, avid drag racer, racing all over the Midwest and especially enjoyed many hours of watching and supporting his sons and grandchildren at all their sporting events.

Mr. Terrell is survived by his wife, Suzzane (Ranard) Terrell, sons, Phillip Terrell, Jr. and Doug (Denise) Terrell both of Spencer; brother, James W. (Mary) Terrell of Spencer; sisters, Joyce Terrell of Lakeland, Florida and Shirley A. (Don) Dean of Spencer; and three grandchildren, Whitney, Grace and Phillip Terrell III.

He is precede in death by his parents; brothers, Robert E. Terrell, Donald William Terrell and Jack Terrell; sisters, Bonnie M. Ford, Mary Rose Terrell, Cora Sue Robertson and Evelyn K. Young.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home. Pastor Dan Smith will officiate. Burial will follow at Chambersville Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Tuesday and 9-11 a.m., Wednesday.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
