David Thomas McDonald, aged 65, well known roofer, died Saturday afternoon, Dec. 4, at 2 o'clock at his home on East Greene street. Mr. McDonald had been in ill health for the past six years, due to paralysis, but was able to be up and about, until he suffered another stroke last week.

A son of David and Lucinda Boone McDonald, he was born July 1, 1872, and spent all his life in Greene County, mostly in the Waynesburg community where he was widely known. Until his health failed he was employed as a sheet metal worker and roofer and worked on a number of Waynesburg houses. He was a member of the Morrisville Methodist Protestant Church. Besides his wife, Elizabeth Knox McDonald, he leaves three sons, Robert, John K., and George T. McDonald, all of Waynesburg. The following brothers and sisters also survive: Mrs. Ida Wilkinson, of Lone Pine; Mrs. Mary Wampler, Pittsburgh; Mrs. Frank Phillips, Mrs. Haddie Phillips and Daniel McDonald, all of Dunns Station; Mrs. Hettie McCloud, Wind Ridge; James McDonald, Nettle Hill; Scott McDonald, address unknown, and Mrs. John Huffman, Oak Forest. A number of half-brothers and half-sisters also are living.
