Tim Seamans was born on October 28, 1984 at the Naval Hospital Jacksonville, FL to the parents Dave and Monica Seamans. During their remaining two years in Jacksonville the family visited Walt Disney in Orlando and went on outings to the beach, and Tim even learned to swim in their neighborhood community pool. The family transferred to Michigan in December 1986 and Tim enjoyed his first winter snowfall. The Seamans' were blessed with another addition on July 21, 1987 a daughter. It was Tim who named his sister Ashley after his favorite TV Soap Actress Ashley Brooks from The Young and Restless. During Tim's fathers tour in Michigan they visited Petoskey, Mackinaw Island, Harsens Island, Traverse City, Sleeping Bear Dunes and other various spots. The family moved from Inkster to Lansing in January 1988 their Tim entered Pre-Kindergarten at Grand Ledge Elementary in the Fall of 1990 and was named Student of the Month for the Month of October. The family returned to Florida in December 1990 where Tim attended MacClenny Elementary School until they moved into base housing at Mayport Naval Station in August 1991. The family loved to go to Hanna Park and JAX Beach at times they would head to St. Augustine Beach and Tim loved to swim, and later as he grew older learned to surf. His various other interest included roller blading, basketball, football, World Wrestling Federation (WWF), and his play station. His love of sports grew and his favorite teams were the Florida Gators and Jacksonville Jaguars. He was very found of his cat Midnight and dog Chubby where he would body slam Midnight like in wrestling and play Frisbee with Chubby. He had a special love for his best friends Daniel "DJ" Lampisia and Chris Tully; you can say they were comical as the Three Stooges and adventurous as the Three Musketeers; always finding was to joke around or get into mist ruff. In May of 1997 finishing 5th grade at S.P. Livingston Tim was awarded the Heritage Medal for Academic Achievement. When Tim entered Terry Parker High School in August 2000 he participated in the Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training program where he attained the rank of ENSIGN. In his senior year Tim joined the Army Delayed Entry Program and just shortly after his graduation in May 2004 he enlisted in the US Army on July 27, 2004. His transition from a tall and slim boy into a well model young man started at Ft. Knox, KY. On November 21, 2004 Tim completed his training and graduated from Boot Camp and Calvary School at Ft. Knox, KY With his parents Dave and Monica they all drove to Lafayette, IN for the Thanksgiving Holiday where Tim was able to visit with his Aunt's, Uncle's, Cousins, and even enjoyed seeing and playing in his 1st snowfall home since 1990. The family returned to Jacksonville, FL at which time Tim packed his gear and the family drove him to Ft. Stewart, GA where he reported for duty with the 3rd Infantry Division, 69th Armored Division, 1st Battalion, CHARLIE Company as a Calvary Scout. In January 2005 Tim and his unit deployed for Iraq. In May 2005 Tim returned home to see his sister Ashley's graduation, and Mother's Day. On May 21, 2005 the family drove Tim to Jacksonville International Airport (JIA) where he departed for his return trip to Iraq. Before his departure the family posed for a photo; little did they know that this would be their last family photo. At 11:15 AM Iraq time just outside their base in Samarra returning from a mine excursion mission in the HUMVEE Tim was driving struck a road side bomb (IED) which took his and three other soldiers lives that day. On August 30, 2005 Tim was laid to rest at Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery FL with full military honors. He leaves behind his father Dave, mother Monica and sister Ashley. The love Tim had for his country, family and other will always be honored and remembered by his loving family.
