Frank E. Worrel was the son of Emanuel and Charity Worrel. He was born January 1, 1886, Madison County IN and moved to Muncie in 1904.
He worked at the Skillen-Goodin Glass Co. as a Glass Blower. Frank enlisted in the U.S. Regular Army May 11, 1906, at Ft. Wayne IN. Sent to Ft. Myers VA, he was assigned to Company E, 13th Cavalry. He was promoted to Sergeant. In continuous service until the time of his death, he died June 26, 1918 from injuries received by a horse falling on him at Ft. Riley KS. Delaware County in the World War states he died in Brownsville TX. The Indiana Death Index states he died in Muncie IN.
He was buried in Beach Grove Cemetery Muncie IN. Survived by his widow, Carrie Worrel of Yakima, WA. Frank is listed in World War Gold Star Honor Roll, Indiana and Delaware County in the World War.
