Mayme Jeanette Alley Lundy, long-time resident of Pulaski, passed away at the age of 101,
on Dec. 4, 2012 at Carrington Place Assisted Living in Wytheville.

She was born Sept. 6, 1911 in Carroll County, the fourth of eight children of
Samuel and Susan Alley. She married Troy Lee Lundy Dec. 22, 1928, to whom she
was married for 66 years. The marriage produced one son, T.L. Lundy, who passed
away in 2001. Mayme was a member of the Thornspring United Methodist Church for
over 50 years, also working for Virginia Maid Hosiery for 18 years.

More than anything, she will be remembered for her unshakeable faith, her
unconditional love, and her contentment in every situation. The twinkle in her
eye, the smile on her lips, and the gracious acceptance of all she encountered
will long be remembered.

She is survived by three grandchildren, Kenny Lundy of Pulaski, Vicki Holton of
Panama City, Fla. and Ann Grundstrom of Cary, N.C. In addition, she is survived
by eight great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren, as well as her
sister, Ether King, and her brother, Walter Alley.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Thornspring United
Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will
be observed at Seagle Funeral Home on Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, 6-8 p.m. Online
