SIRLES, MRS. CATHRINE 89, of LaGrange, GA died Monday, November 19, 2012 at her home. Mrs. Sirles was born February 11, 1923 in Birmingham, AL, daughter of the late Jack A. McWhorter and Ruth Menascus McWhorter. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Avondale Estates in Atlanta, GA and attended First Presbyterian Church of LaGrange. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Newsome Sirles. Survivors include two daughters, Susie (Steve) Teaver of LaGrange, GA and Pat (Ron) Hopkins of Sharpsburg, GA; four grandchildren, Whitney Teaver (John) Gober, Steven P. (Nicole) Teaver, Christopher Hopkins, and Courtney Hopkins; and one great grandchild, Teaver Johnpaul Gober. A memorial service will be held at a later date in the Elmwood Cemetery, Birmingham, AL. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church, KYB Class, 120 Broad Street, LaGrange, GA 30240 in memory of Mrs. Cathrine Sirles.
