Ruth Lenora Henderson, 61, of 55 E. Washington St., Hagerstown, died Thursday, April 22, 2004, at Washington County Hospital. Born Jan. 15, 1943, in Appletown, Md., she was the daughter of the late Seibert James and Anna Mae Catherine Netz Shoemaker. She was preceded in death by her first husband, David Samuel Myers, in 1982 and by her second husband, Boyd Henderson, in 1999. She was a graduate of Boonsboro High School. She was a homemaker. She attended Gateway Ministries in Williamsport.
She is survived by one son, David J. S. Myers of Newport News, Va.; two sisters, Judy L. Jones of Hagerstown and Esther E. Grimm of Boonsboro; one brother, Eugene S. Shoemaker of Funkstown; two grandchildren; and eight nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister, Louella Fink. Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Bast Funeral Home in Boonsboro. The Revs. Alan M. and Janis L. Greijack will officiate. Burial will be in Boonsboro Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made c/o Judy L. Jones, 20320 Ayoub Lane, Hagerstown, MD 21742.
