MUNCIE--Perry E. Clark, 85, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2006 at Ball Memorial Hospital following an unexpected illness.

He was born November 4, 1920 in Urbana, IL, and had lived in Muncie since 1958. He was employed by Borg-Warner as a truck driver and retired in 1971. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He attended Wilmore United Methodist Church, and was a member of the Borg-Warner Sympathy Club, UAW Local #287, and was an avid fisherman.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Alma (Guffy) Clark; sister-in-law, Dorothy Guffy; brothers-in-law, Bobby Guffy and Johnnie Guffy; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Ethel (Bell) Clark; brother, Fred Clark; four sisters, Dorothy Bertram, Katherine Botkin, Mark Clark, and Susie Clark.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2, 2006 at Elm Ridge Funeral Home with Rev. Brad Smith officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Elm Ridge Memorial Park. Military rites will be conducted by the Veterans of Delaware County Honor Guard.
