Boxer from Macon, Ga. He is second in all-time knockouts with 126, passed only by Archie Moore. He fought and defeated six champions, but whenever he had a title bout, he always had something strange happen. He first fought for the light-heavyweight title in 1924, when he was 17 and still in high school. He died as a result of a motorcycle wreck when he was just 28.
