Joan Katherine Moscariello, 70, of Las Vegas, passed away May 22, 2010. She was born April 24, 1940, in Waterbury, Conn., and was a 40-year resident of Nevada. She retired from the hotel industry, in the transportation field. Joan's entire family was very important in her life, along with many friendships that were dear to her heart. Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Philomena (Rinaldi) Byron; and son, Michael Moscariello. Joan is survived by her loving husband, of 50 years, William Moscariello; children, Colleen (Sergio) Correia and Paul Moscariello; brother, Daniel (Janet) Byron; sister, Louise (Leonard) Lorusso; mother-in-law, Rose Moscariello; nieces and nephews, Lisa (Jody) Myk, Lenny (Melissa) Lorusso, Daniel Byron II and Christina (Joseph) Silvoso; grandnieces, Gianna and Gracie Lorusso; and her faithful companion, dog, Itsy Bitsy. Viewing and Rosary will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, May 27, at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday, May 28, at St. Viator Roman Catholic Church, in the chapel, 2461 E. Flamingo Road. Graveside services will immediately follow at Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
