Hazel Green, Grant Co., WIs. - John J. Birkett, 68, of Main St., Hazel Green died Tuesday afternoon at St. Joseph's Unit, Mercy Health Center in Dubuque.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church here, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Furlong Funeral Chapel in Galena, Jo Daviess Co., ILl., where the rosary will be said at 8 p.m. Thursday.
Surviving are his wife, Odelia; a daughter, Mrs. Merlin (Louise Alt of Benton, Lafayette Co., WIs.; three grandsons and two brothers, Gordon of Cuba City, Grant Co., WIs., and Aldro of Galena, and two sisters, Mrs. Geradine Swan of Peosta, Iowa, and Mrs. Earl (Charlene) Hocking of Sulphur, La.
