Harry Stoner Dies; Services To Be Friday
Harry Foster Stoner, 67, of 611 Milton St., Tuscumbia, died this morning at his residence after a short illness. He was a railroad engineer for 46 years and a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Engineers. He was also a member of the Methodist Church. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:30 at the Brown Service Chapel, Tuscumbia, with Rev. E. E. Bridges officiating. Burial will follow in the Tuscumbia Oakwood Cemetery. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Lyda Stoner; one son Harry Allen Stoner, Tuscumbia; two brothers, Joe Stoner, Memphis; and Charlie Stoner, Stevenson; two sisters, Mrs. Mollie Cameron, Stevenson; and Mrs. Avis Lawson, Bridgeport; and a number of neices and nephews. Pall bearers will be Joe M. Thomas, T. A. Wilson, Oscar Stein, A. Y. McDaniel, J. F. Herring, Jr., Clayton Whitaker, Ralph Peters, and J. S. Cox. Honorary pall bearers are Southern Railway employees, neighbors, and friends. Brown Service of Tuscumbia directing.
