Professional Hockey Player. For eight seasons (1944 to 1945 to 1952), he played at the defense position in the National Hockey League with the Boston Bruins. Born into a family of athletic talent, his uncles were NHL Hall of Fame Players Roy, Charlie and Lionel Conacher. After launching his hockey career in 1939, he served with the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II. Upon his return home, Henderson had played a brief period with the Bruins' Minor League team, prior to making his NHL Debut during the 1944-1945 season. Henderson's career was highlighted as a contributor to the 1945-1946 Bruins' squad which appeared in the Stanley Cup Finals. In 405 regular season games, he compiled 24 goals with 62 assists. He extended his career four more years (1952 to 1956) as a player-coach with the Hershey Bears. After retiring from hockey, Henderson worked as a liquor salesman in the Ontario-area.
