Helen M. Elder, 56, of Woodsfield, Ohio, died Tuesday (Nov. 14, 2000) at the Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling, W.Va. She was born April 21, 1944, in Bethesda, daughter of Wilford “Ham” and Thelma (Brandon) Phillips of Woodsfield. Mrs. Elder was a Baptist by faith. She was preceded in death by an infant brother. She leaves her husband, Bob Elder of Woodsfield; two sons,and a daughter-in-law; two daughters and a son-in-law ; four sisters and five grandchildren. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday at Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, Woodsfield, where services will be 11 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Neuhart Cemetery, near Woodsfield.
