Rollo Oliver Carmichael 62, passed away Dec. 29, 1959 in Mojave Hospital after suffering a severe heart attack recently.
He was born in Lynn County, Iowa on August 5, 1897 and came to Mojave 18 years ago. Rollo was employed by Southern Pacific and on his retirement some years ago held the position of yardmaster. Presently the family resides at Kayo's Trailer Court.
He was a veteran of World War I, being a member of that organization. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge at Tehachapi; the American Legion and the V.F.W. of Mojave; and Brotherhood of Trainmen at Bakersfield.
Survivors include his widow, Clara; son Harold; three brothers, Zenis of Lewiston, Idaho, Arthur of Stockton, Calif., and Willard of Pueblo, Colorado; two sisters, Ruth McKeil of Denver Colorado and Grace Nelson of Spokane, Washington.
Funeral services are set for 2 :00 p.m. Monday, services to be held by Masonic Lodge No. 783 at Amaranth Temple, Mojave, with Turner Funeral Home in charge.
