ORANGEBURG - Paula Jeanne Tanner, 82, died Wednesday, December 17, 2014, after an illness. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, December 22 in the Nancy Freeman Stringer Memorial Chapel "The Oaks" in Orangeburg. Burial Services will be held on Tuesday, December 23, at 2:00 pm in Marion, SC at Rose Hill Cemetery directed by Richardson Funeral Home of Marion.

Born in Hedley, TX, Mrs. Tanner was the daughter of the late Joe Everett and Johnnie Lee Landreth Everett. She was a member of Moncks Corner Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women's Mission Union. Mrs. Tanner was a retired School Teacher, having taught in the Public School Systems in Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina. She is predeceased by a brother, Ronald Everett.

Survivors are her husband of 57 years, Robert Williams Tanner of the home; sons, Thomas Tanner and James Tanner, both of Greenville, SC; a daughter, Karen Bowling (Rev. Ralph T. Bowling, III) of Hodges; a sister-in-law, Chris Everett of North Carolina; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
