George had lived in Alexandria all of lifetime. He was a graduate of Alexandria High School-Class of 1932. He was a tool and die maker at Delco-Remy, formerly of Anderson for 32 years retiring in 1972. Following his retirement, George traveled extensively in America and abroad as manager of product sales for the Bill Gaither Trio, the Gaither Vocal band and the Homecoming Friends. He had attended the Alexandria Church of God and more recently attended Park Place Church of God in Anderson. George enjoyed farming and gardening.
