MANCHESTER -- Thomas A. Carey, 48, of Manchester, died July 18, 2008, in his home after a brief illness.
He was born in Manchester Feb. 6, 1960, and was the son of Robert and Lorraine (Chaput) Carey.
He received his education locally and joined the U.S. Army, serving with the 82nd Airborne.
He was an easy-going guy who loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He enjoyed watching sports, in particular the Red Sox, Patriots and NASCAR racing.
Family members include his children, Ricky and Bobby Carey, both of Manchester; his mother, of Manchester; four sisters, Darlene Bernier of Manchester, Kathleen Koslosky, of Texas, Charlene Carey of Manchester, and Lisa Woo, of Illinois; a brother, Michael Carey of Manchester; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
SERVICES: A committal service with military honors is Wednesday, at 11 a.m. in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Goffstown Road, Manchester.
