Princeton - Funeral services are to be conducted at 2:30 p.m. today for Charles P. Hamblin, 72, of 606 Prince Street, Princeton, who died Friday morning at Princeton Memorial Hospital. Death was attributed to a heart ailment, for which he had been hospitalized for the past two weeks. Rites are to be conducted from the First Methodist Church, Princeton, with the Rev. Vane Anderson and the Rev. L. D. Roe officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Cemetery. He was born in Montgomery County, Va., April 16, 1878, the son of the late James and Louisa Scott Hamblin, and moved to Princeton from Bluefield 18 years age. Hamblin was a blacksmith by trade and a member of the Nazarene Church. He married Miss Callie E. Keller at Pearisburg, Va., Oct 16, 1943, who survives him. Other survivors are the following children by a former marriage: Mrs. Gertrude Kemple, E. Palestine, Ohio, Mrs. Ola Slade and Miss Dorothy Hamblin, both of Ohio; Mrs. Victoria Garland and Mrs. Mildred Thornton of Salem, Va.; Eugene Hamblin of Cambria, Va., and James Hamblin of Princeton. Other survivors are a brother, Edward Hamblin, Princeton; four sisters: Mrs. Ellie Richardson, of Charlottesville, Va.; Mrs. Lois McDaniels, Durham, N.C., and Mrs. Fannie McRay of Radford, Va.
