Daughter of Cathal Brugha [otherwise Charles Burgess] [1874-1922] and Kathleen [Caitlín] Kingston Brugha [1879-1959], who were married in 1912, in Dublin
Born on 11 December 1913, at 5 Fitzwilliam Terrace, Rathmines, her birth was registered by Kate Kingston on 1 January 1914.
Her birth certificate was revised by her father on 19 January 1914 to eliminate grammatical errors in the Irish Language made when Kate registered

revised to
Nora Maura, daughter of Cathal Brugha and Caitlin Brugha, formerly Nicanriogh

She assisted her mother in operating the family drapery business, Kingstons Ltd. in O'Connell Street, Dublin.

O’BRIAIN (née Brugha), (Dublin) - December 21, 2003, peacefully with her family, Noinín, widow of Sean; deeply regretted by her loving daughters Muirin, Toireas, Caitrín and hers sons Austin and Rossa, their families, her sister Neasa and brother Ruairi, relatives and many friends. R.I.P. Removal today (Monday) to St. Joseph’s Church, Terenure, arriving 5pm. Funeral tomorrow (Tuesday) following Requiem Mass at 1.30pm to Redford Cemetery, Greystones. Family flowers only by request.
