Professional Broadway and Hollywood dancer. Raised in Albion, Michigan, she began her career in New York City at the age of 16 under the tutelage of Fred LeQuarne. The two formed the dancing team of LeQuarne and DeLong. The duo became very successful and highly popular on Broadway. They also toured Europe several times and once conducted a command performance before King George of England. Violet also danced in ballet scenes in several Hollywood motion pictures. She closely resembled Lana Turner, and was an active worker in the Actor's Guild.
