Barbara J. Dilts, 67, of 512 S. Main died at 1:10 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, 1994, at Graham Hospital in Canton.

Born March 12, 1927, in Lee Township, Fulton County, to Arthur and Jessie Rutledge Blagden, she married Dane E. Dilts on July 31, 1949, in Canton. He survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Dane Alan of Canton and Brad E. of Farmington; one daughter, Mrs. Dale (Martha) Vahlkmap of Gillette, Wyo.; two brothers, Harold Blagden of Prairie City and Wetzel Rutledge of Los Angeles, Calif.; five sisters, Bernus Osborn and Ilene Waller, both of Bushnell, Irene White of Macomb, Marguerite Harland of Morton and Geneva Haynes of San Leandro, Calif.; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Perry Rutledge, who raised her; three brothers; and two sisters.

She worked for Kresge's Dime Store and International Harvester Co. She was active in International Order of Odd Fellows of Farmington and Rebekah Lodge 155. She was past president of American Legion Auxiliary Unit 140. She was a den mother for Boy Scouts of America.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Murphy-Sedgwick Memorial Home in Canton. The Rev. Robert Holler will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at the memorial home. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Farmington.

Memorials may be made to the American Legion or to the International Order of Odd Fellows Educational Scholarship Fund.
