Carmen married David Laughman, Ret. Lt. Col. USAF in December 1967. She loved her family and enjoyed times with her sisters and brothers, who had nick names for her: her sister Toy called her "Chicken" and her baby brother, Bubba called her "Miranda" and her brother, Russell and her mother, called her "Buddy". No one could ever explain where these nicknames came from, but that was just our mother!
Preceding her in death are many loved ones: her husband's, David Laughman and Bob Brunson; parents, Grace Hilman and Marion Reeves, Brothers, Russell Reeves, Aswell Reeves and Charlie "Sonny" Reeves; brother-in-laws, Johnny Brewer; Raymond Harper and grandson, Kenny Anderson.
Carmen is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law; and step-daughter and husband; six grandchildren; three Sisters; and many nieces and nephews.
We will miss our mother, we will miss her laughter, her touch, her unconditional love and her beautiful blue eyes, but we all know without a doubt, that we will see her again in Heaven, where she was met by Jesus who smiled and said, "Well done Thy good and faithful servant'.
The family would like to thank Dr. Borne and his many years of compassionate care. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials may be made to Broadmoor Baptist Church 4110 Youree Dr. Shreveport, LA. 71105 or Willis Knighton Hospice Unit 616 East Flournoy Lucas Rd Shreveport, LA. 71115.
