She was born in Charles City, Iowa and moved to Elma, Iowa, where she was united in marriage to Charles A. McDonnell. To this union were born seven children: Mrs. Mark Fleharty, Osawatomie; Mrs. Bernice Dodge of Wichita; Mrs. Archie Jones of Long Beach, Calif.; Mrs. Robert Finnell of Osawatomie; Charles McDonnell of Piper, Kas.; and eight grandchildren. Her husband and two children proceeded Mrs. McDonnell in death..

Mrs. McDonnell was converted November 20, 1949 and became a member of the Osawatomie Methodist Church. .

Funeral services were held in Brichard Funeral home Sunday, August 5, at 1:30 p. m., with Rev. J. L. Boulware officiating..

Mrs. Harry Baker, June Winters, and Metta Hawkins accompanied at the piano by Mrs. J. L. Boulware sane "Good Night Here and Good Morning Up There" and "The End of the Road." Pallbearers were: Otto Maxwell, H. H. Rayle, Dale Goudie, C. W. Finnell, Max Dedrick, and Clarence Hayes. .

Burial was in the La Cygne cemetery. .
