Andrew Jackson Cox was a Sergeant in Company I, 5th Mounted Infantry for the Confederacy during the Civil War. He was married three times to Matilda Stamper Cox, Lucinda Stamper Cox, and Rebecca Hall Cox. Jack and Becky Hall were married in 1872 in Wolfe County, KY. With Becky, he had 8 children- Malissa Ellen Cox Peck, Jefferson D. Cox, Deed Cox Faulkner, Robert L. Cox, Junie Cox Brewer, Emmy Cox Honaker, Sarah E. Cox, and Mary Cox. Jack is buried in Jack Cox Cemetery located on Route 1010 in Toliver, KY.
