In this city Monday Dec 21, 1970, John L., husband of Mary R. (Tremblay) Durnin of 43 Lawrence Street, age 68 years. Funeral from the Riendeau Funeral Home Thursday morning Dec 24 at 8 o'clock, followed by a solemn high mass of requiem in Immaculate Conception Church at 9 o'clock. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

John L. Durnin, 68, a custodian at the Hopewell School for 30 years and the husband of Mary R. (Tremblay) Durnin of 41 Lawrence Street, died Monday at Morton Hospital after a long illness. Born in Taunton, son of the late John and Ellen (Power) Durnin, he was educated in Taunton schools and retired from the city school department having been employed as a custodian at Hopewell for 30 years. He was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church and was a member of the Holy Name Society. In addition to his widow, he leaves a brother, George Durnin of Worcester; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Hawnch of Cranston, RI, and Ethel Durnin of Taunton, and several nieces and nephews.
