Zula May KINNARD was born on April 21, 1886, the 5th of 5 children of Kennedy S.M. and Margurite Luella (POLLY) KINNARD. There were 3 boys and 2 girls. Her place of birth was Lisbon, Dallas County, Texas, which was located about 6 miles south of downtown Dallas. It was annexed by the City of Dallas in 1929.

Her father died about 2 or 3 months before her birth. Her mother remarried Dr. Richard Watson GRAVES on February 20, 1887, in Dallas, Texas.

She was raised in Dallas and attended Texas Christian University during the 1895-1909 period when it was located in Waco, Texas. She was awarded a diploma in piano in June 1909.

She was married to Fountain Fox MILLER II from November 9, 1911, until his death on December 11, 1921. They resided in Dallas, Texas, and had 2 boys: Fountain Fox MILLER III (1914-2003) and Milton Kinnard MILLER (1917-1936). While she was a widow, she supported her family as a commercial real estate representative in Dallas, Texas.

She next married Wayne Arthur McDANIEL on December 27, 1928, in Dallas, Texas. They lived most of their married life in Memphis, Tennessee, where he was a pharmaceutical representative for the William S. Merrill Company. They had no children. Widowed for the second time with his death on June 21, 1967, she died in Memphis, Tennessee on May 18, 1978, at the age of 92 and is buried next to Wayne McDANIEL in Memorial Park Cemetery Memphis, Tennessee.
