ROSEWOOD HEIGHTS - Earl C. Carney, 71, died at 6:58 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, 1991, at Wood River Township Hospital.
He was employed as a foreman at Owens-Illinois Inc. of Alton, retiring in 1977, and was a U.S. Army World War II and Korean War veteran.
Born in Hamilton County, he was the son of the late D.W. and Reece (Hollida) Carney.
He married the former Maggie E. Fletcher on Oct. 14,1939, in Morganfield, .Ky. She survives.
Also surviving are a son, Bob Carney of Bethalto; a daughter, Darlene Wrischnik of Danville,
Va.; three grandchildren; and two sisters, Laverene Williams of West Frankfort and Freeda McFarland of Galatia.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights, where services are at 11 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Willard V. Meyer will officiate.
Burial is in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
