GREENSBORO - Mrs. Dorothy "Dot" Atkins Lohr, 83, went Home to be with the Lord Friday morning, May 20, 2011 at Wesley Long Memorial Hospital.
Funeral service will be held Monday, May 23, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Willomore Baptist Church with Pastor Scott Hedge officiating. Burial will follow at Grace Baptist Church Cemetery following the service.
Dot was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend who loved to spend time with her family. She graduated from Sumner High School where she enjoyed playing basketball, and attended Guilford College.
Mrs. Lohr was preceded in death by her daughter, Janet Denise Lohr, and her son, Timothy Jack Lohr.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Jack D. Lohr; daughter, Dottie Byrd (Dennis), of Summerfield; daughter, Jackie Pugh (Ronnie), of Greensboro; son, Danny Lohr, of Randleman; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and brother, Friel Atkins, Jr., of Greensboro.
The family will receive friends from 12 until 1:30 p.m. on Monday prior to the service.
