Mary Louise Harmon Taylor Smothers

PRINCETON — Mary Louise Harmon Taylor Smothers, age 87, of 121 Bailey Hollow Road, Princeton, W.Va., passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at her home.

Born on September 22, 1925 in Montcalm, she was a daughter of the late Rev. Andrew Harmon and Mamie Harmon. She had been a resident of Princeton for 53 years and was a member of the Princeton Church of God. She was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Eugene and Glenn Taylor; two sisters, Gladys Lowe and Gertrude Jordan; and three brothers, Russell, JD, and Ray Harmon.

Louise is survived by her husband, of Bluefield; one daughter who was her caregiver, one son, of Princeton; former husband, of Princeton; 10 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; one brother, of Winston-Salem, N.C.; two sisters, of Texas and Florida.

Funeral services were at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with the Rev. Stanley Metz officiating. Burial at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton with grandsons and friends serving as pallbearers.
