Funeral services for Roy Lee Rice, 51, 1937 Flower St., who died in his home Tuesday, will be held at 2 PM, Thursday in the Daughty-Calhoun-O'Meara Chapel, with the Rev. Lynn A. Wood officiating. Cremation will be in the Bakersfield Memorial Park. The deceased was a native of San Antonio, Texas. He was a veteran of World War I. He lived in California since 1908 and has been employed as an insurance adjuster by the United Pacific Insurance Company. He lived in Bakersfield for the past eight years. Mr. Rice has been active in Boy Scout work, and was scoutmaster of Troop No. 18. The senior group of his troop will take part in the funeral services. The deceased leaves a widow, Mary.
