Lillian Uhlers, age 101, a resident at Grand Horizon Assisted Living, Appleton, Wis., formerly of 3518 Joseph Rd., Manitowoc, entered eternal life early on Monday morning, July 20, 2009 at Grand Horizon.

Lillian was born on Dec. 16, 1907, in the town of Mishicot, Manitowoc County. She was the daughter of the late John and Louise Becker Ruether.

On June 29, 1929, she married Louis E. Uhlers in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on Aug. 7, 1997.

Lillian was a member of Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Louis on Aug. 7, 1997; one son: Donald on March 9, 1989; one son-in-law: Alan Weber on Jan. 5, 1983.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 22, 2009, at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church, 916 Pine St., Manitowoc. Officiating will be the Rev. Paul Schossow and the Rev. Nicholas Maglietto with entombment to follow at Knollwood Mausoleum, Manitowoc. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, North 11th and St. Clair Streets, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
