Martin was just past his twentieth year. For two years past he had been in Chicago, but returned about February first, since which time he had been at home. He had been somewhat sickly before the last dread disease took hold of him and his father. The family relatives were present at his death, grief-stricken in the extreme, at the sorrow and mourning which has followed so fast in the family since last September.
This makes three that have died within eight months, the father Peter McCourt, and the two sons James and Martin. The funeral will take place Monday morning at 9 o'clock from St. Mary's Catholic Church.

FUNERAL OF MARTIN McCOURT
The funeral of Martin McCourt, son of the late Peter McCourt, took place this morning at nine o'clock from St. Mary's Catholic church. The remains lay at the house until the hour of the funeral, when they were removed to the church and placed in the same spot where the remains of his father lay only four days before. The services consisted of requiem mass, celebrated by Rev. Father Scholter, pastor of the church. There was no deacon or subdeacon, as on the occasion of the former funeral, and no sermon was preached. The pall bearers were four of the Alexian Brothers. Quite a long funeral cortege followed the remains to the grave. The remains were buried beside those of his father and brother in the family lot in the Catholic cemetery.
