He was an English Quaker whose father and mother had converted to Quakers in England.
Four children whose burial places are unknown:

Ruth Lowther Bradshaw b. 1720 m. James Bradshaw
Martha Lowther Carver b. 1723 m. Joseph Carver
Mary Lowther Simpson b. 1725 m. Samuel Simpson

Quakers did not use grave markers at first. Markers were not used in the Buckingham Friends Burial Ground until the 1790s and many of the earliest markers are missing or unreadable. Volunteer's Profile (47635532)
