A graveside service will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday at Mt. Rose Cemetery. A procession will form at Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York at 1:30 p.m.
Mr. Spangler was born on October 15, 1920 in Brogue. He was the son of the late Latimore E. and Elma (Spangler) Spangler.
He started his career as an Automotive Mechanic at the age of 17, working for Lincoln Highway Garage. He spent the last 25 years of his employment at Stough's Auto Repair, where he retired from in 1981. He was a life member of Automotive Service Association.
Mr. Spangler is also survived by his daughter, Faye D. Rinker of Dover; three grandchildren, Gary W. Rinker Jr., Michael L. Rinker and Bobbi-Jo Lebo; three great-grandchildren, twins Hali L. and Taylor Z. Rinker and Austin J. Lebo; a brother, Eugene Spangler of Spry; a sister, Dawn L. Kline of Dallastown, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters. Memorial contributions may be made to Dover Ambulance Club, 40 E. Canal St., Dover, PA 17315.
