Reed Walton, Sr., 92 of Trimble, Tennessee died on Sunday, April 14, 2013, at his residence in Trimble, Tennessee.

Born Wednesday, June 23, 1920 in Newbern, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Ernest Walton and the late Maud Frazier Walton.

Mr. Walton was the retired gas/water supervisior of the City of Trimble, a World War II United States Army Veteran, member of the Trimble First Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon for many years, member of the America Legion and Trimble Lions Club.

Funeral services for Mr. Walton will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at the Trimble First Baptist Church. Officiating this service will be Rev. Rick Isbell and Dr. Bill Oakley. Interment will follow in Pierce Cemetery in Trimble, Tennessee. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 16, 2013 from 5:00 -9:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home and on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until time at the Trimble First Baptist Church.

Mr. Walton is survived by one son, Reed Walton, Jr. and his wife Denise of Humboldt, Tennessee; one daughter, Charlotte Walton Hampton of Union City, Tennessee; three brothers, Wes Walton of Obion, Tennessee, Wilbur Walton of Newbern, Tennessee and Joe Walton of Pawley's Island, South Carolina; one sister, Rebecca Butler of Buena Vista, Tennessee and four grandchildren, Will Hampton and his wife Sarah of Memphis, Tennessee, Zac Walton, Samantha Walton and Sydnee Walton all of Humboldt, Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Crouson Walton, one brother, Ernest "Preacher" Walton; three sisters, Elizabeth Wilson, Louise Walton and Sue Williams and a son-law, Bill Hampton.

Pallbearers will be Donnie Walton, Michael Walton, Brad Walton, Tim Williams, Jay Williams, Tim Partin, Marvin Dunlap and Mike Hampton.

The family ask that memorials be directed to the Trimble First Baptist Church, 139 East Mitchell Street, Trimble, Tennessee 38259.
