He was born April 8, 1917, at McCracken, the son of Henry and Madelna Foos Rein.
On Sept. 8, 1940, he married Rose Schwartz at Bazine. She survives. Other survivors include: a son, Thomas L., Topeka; a daughter, Paula J. Mounts, New York City, N.Y.; a sister, Rose Showalter, Ness City; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Alan K.; six brothers, Ed, Alec, Leo, Herman, Elmer and Henry Jr.; three sisters, Helen Akers, Molly Bruntz and Katie Bennett; and a grandson.
Interment will be in Bazine Cemetery, Bazine
