John Costello, veteran mule and live stock dealer, died at his home, 689 East McLemore, yesterday after a four month illness. He was 66.
Mr. Costello was born in New York and came to Memphis 22 years ago. While he traveled in his business a great deal of his business operations centered from The Memphis Union Stockyards. A large family of sons and brothers all are dealers in stock.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Catherine Costello; a daughter, Mrs. Katie Gorman; three sons, Thomas, Jimmy and Dewey Costello; his father, Thomas K. Costello, and three brothers and three sisters, all of Memphis.
