Emanuel Ness, for many years employed as a cigar factory foreman and cigar packer, died at 2:15 a. m. yesterday at his residence, 440 South Duke street. Death was caused by a complication of diseases. He was 62 years old and leaves his widow, Mrs. Ida Ness; two sons, W. A. Ness, York, and John L. Ness, Washington, D. C.; two daughters, Mrs. Alfred Johnson and Mrs. Howard Albright, York; and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Emanuel Grim, Red Lion; E. H. Ness, Red Lion R. D. 2; Murray Ness, York; Mrs. Elmer Stump, Dallastown R. D. 1, and Miss Alverta Ness, York. He was a member of York lodge No. 121, Fraternal Order of Reindeer, and York lodge, No. 2475, Fraternal Aid union. The services will be held at his late residence, on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, followed by interment In Mt. Rose cemetery.

Emanuel Ness
The funeral of Emanuel Ness, who died on Monday morning at his home, 440 South Duke street, was held at 2 p. m. today. Services were, conducted at the Ness residence by the Rev. Warren C. Johnson, pastor of St. Luke's Lutheran church. Nephews served as pallbearers. They are Curvin, Emory, Harry, Clair and Norman Ness and Curtis Seeser. Burial was in Mt. Rose cemetery.
