Fred attended schools in Turlock, and was a 1933 graduate of Turlock High School. He attended San Jose State College, where he played football, and while playing he took two trips to Hawaii with the team. He attended San Jose State University, he was a member of Thi Epsilon Kappa and Phi Alpha Omega fraternaties. He recieved an AB degree from the college in 1940, He later went on to study at the University of Southern California. He worked as an instructor of History and physical eduacation at Martinez High School. Fred was sick for many years with tuberculosis. He would retreat to the sanitarium for treatment off and on, and he finally died of the disease at age 32. He was so young, he never married and had no children. If there is anyone one of his students still living, I hope they see this page and remember him for what a great caring man he was.
