FLORENCE BEST RITES CONDUCTED
Services were Wednesday, Oct 18, at the United Methodist church in Farnam for Florence M. Best who passed away at Central City on Saturday, Oct 14. She was 77. Interment was in the Farnam Cemetery.
Conducting the service was Rev. Karl Lent. Music was provided by Mrs. Harold Bick, Mrs. Robert Speck and Mrs. Kent Davis. Casket bearers were Russell Wilcox, Wayne Williams, Harold Lehman, Max McNickle, Orvale Widlick and Jack Martin.
Mrs. Best taught school in McCook, Maywood, Beaver City and Indianola. She was retired from her chosen profession. She had lived in McCook from 1944 to 1974, then moved to Gothenburg where she resided until recently when she moved to Central City to be near her son.
She is survived by two sons, John Best of Central City and Jim Best of Walden, CO; two grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. A.B. (Fern) Banks of Gothenburg.
