Lucretia D. Irelan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nathan M. Irelan, was born at Zanesville, Ohio, Oct. 23, 1853 and passed away at her home in Sterling, Co. Sept. 25, 1941.
At the age of one year she moved with her parents to Washington, Iowa, living there until 1878 when they moved to Clarinda, Iowa. In 1881 she was united in marriage to James McDermott. In 1884 they moved to Logan, Kansas. In 1890 they moved to Farnam, Ne. In 1920 they moved to Long Beach, Ca. In 1921 James was killed in a street car accident. She came back to Farnam and remained until 1928 when she married Thomas Cline and they moved to Ottawa, Kansas. Thomas passed in 1936. She then moved to Gothenburg, living with her sister Mrs James Dodd until her death in 1939. Lucretia then moved to Sterling, Co. living there until her death.
Survivors; two brothers, W.E. Irelan and B.B. Irelan of Sterling ,Co.; twenty nephews and nieces.
Interment in the Farnam Cemetery.
